How to Integrate data with File Transfer Protocol (FTP)

This article explains how you can use FTP as a data source with INCRMNTAL

The File Transfer Protocol  (FTP) is a standard communication protocol used for the transfer of computer files from a server to a client on a computer network. The process works when one party allows another to send or receive files over the internet.

In order to start transferring files to Incrmntal you can create an Authentication with either  FTP or FTPS.

Here's how you can integrate Google Sheets:

  1. Login to your dashboard, using your own user or a config account.
Note: Your existing user needs to have Admin permissions to integrate new FTP
If this is your first time integrating data to the board, a configuration user will be shared with you for this process.
  2. Go to Configuration > Integrations.
  3. Click "Add Integration" on the right side.
  4. Search for FTP in the search bar. Click "Add".
  5. Click the Authentication drop down. If you've already authenticated a FTP account with us, it'll be available in the dropdown for you to select. If you wish to add another one, click "Add Authentication"

  6. Add File Path
  7. Provide us with the following authentication details (FTP):
  • Host name
  • Port number
  • Username
  • Password

7.  For FTPS add all the details as fro FTP and  upload SSL Certificate if required

8. Please  enable the selected files.

8. Click on "Save"
