This article explains how to integrate your The Trade Desk account, allowing the INCRMNTAL platform to read any marketing activities performed in your account.
Acquiring an API token from The Trade Desk
An API token in The Trade Desk can be generated in one of two ways:
- Long-Live - The token is available for a year's time since its one-time creation date
- Short-Live - The token is generated every 24 hours, given the authenticated username and password provided.
How to create a Long-Live token?
To generate a long-lived API token, complete the following steps:
- Log in to The Trade Desk platform using your API credentials.
- At the top-right of the Developer Portal, click the User Profile icon, and select Manage API Tokens. The API Tokens page appears.
- Click GENERATE TOKEN. The Generate API Token dialog appears.
- Enter a descriptive name for your token. For example, include the tool name for which it be used or any other details that will help you distinguish between multiple tokens later.
- Select the token lifetime based on your key rotation strategy and integration needs.
- Click GENERATE TOKEN. A confirmation message appears with an API token.
- Copy the displayed API token, save it to your secrets management system for future reference, and then close the message.
- Include the token as the TTD-Auth value in the headers of all subsequent API calls, for instance, as shown in the following example.
How to authenticate a user, for us to authenticate with (short-live token)?
- Use your username and password in TTD to connect to our dashboard (see steps below).

Authenticating on INCRMNTAL
- Login to your INCRMNTAL dashboard
- Go to Configuration > Integrations
- Click The Trade Desk logo:
- Click "Create New Adapter" on the top right
- Choose your method of authentication, and fill in the required credentials
- Click "Save"
